"Between the Winter Challenge and the Spring Challenge I have lost 18.6 lbs to this point. I have gotten rid of my ever present heartburn and fit into clothes that were in the back of the closet to be given away pile. I have learned that some of my food allergies that have plagued me for the last 15 years are no longer there and I can eat baby carrots and apples again (most of the time). I have reached my "goal" weight of 137 which is a number I haven't seen on the scale in the last 10 years, somewhere between Child #4 and Child #5. Child #5 just turned 6 last Saturday.
I have learned that the habits I had in college ... go running and then eat ice cream, are still possible, I just can't leave out the exercise first part. The running has been replaced by water aerobics, circuit training with Jillian Michaels, bicycle rides, and walks with my husband. I have found that if I need a crunchy snack that fresh cauliflower works great. I have found that 64 ounces really isn't that hard to drink in a day as long as I don't leave it all until 8:45 at night, and that when I don't snack after 9 PM it pays off on the scale immediately the next morning.
The best part is that my husband and I have been doing all this together. Hugs are better when there's not 40 extra lbs in the way!"
