Image from PickyPalate.comMy kids love pizza...from Papa Murphys or Pizza Hut.  I'm not sure if they love it so much because pizza usually means that Papa and Granny are coming over to babysit for the night and they will have free reign over the house for the next few hours OR if they are grateful that Mom didn't attempt to feed them another round of French Bread Pizza.  (To be honest, they eat that okay as well, but it's definitely not the same as "real" pizza with "real" crust).  Unfortunately, I've never been very good at making bread.  I've been "taught" a number of times and tried all the so-easy-you-really-can't-screw-this-up-no-fail pinterest recipes that ultimately failed because I screwed them up, and finally just decided that some people were born with the bread making talent...and I'm not one of them.  So, when we have pizza around here, it comes in a box and magically appears at our door 20 minutes after we decide we want it...come to think of it, I wish every meal happened like that!

In an attempt to make a healthier version of something my kids really enjoy, I've been on the lookout for a pizza dough recipe that is not only good, but also healthier and nearly impossible to screw up.  And, I think I may have actually found it at Picky-Palate.com.  Her Honey Whole Wheat Pizza Dough Recipe was VERY simple.  It took all of 15 minutes to make the dough from start to finish (and that includes the 10 minutes you let the yeast sit).  And what I love almost more than the simplicity was it tasted great and was made from healthy ingredients (see ingredient list below).  And my kids, husband and father-in-law (who's not always of fan of "healthier") loved it!  In fact, my father-in-law requested that I share the recipe with his wife (who is one of those amazing breadmakers I was talking about) so she could make it for him at home!
